It's an address tucked away between the quayside and the château, and one that locals are happy to recommend: a dapper little house, well-run by Giovanni Foucher, with simple, seasonal cuisine, in a convenient range to eat in or take away: oysters and seafood from the island, sautéed squid and buckwheat noodles, seaweed-buttered pollock steak, Noirmoutier sole meunière, glazed black forest... A good menu at €34.50 to get acquainted with the place, and make you want to come back. Serve with mareuil or brem from Michon.
