Philippe Bardau is a key player on the local gastronomic scene, and his loyal followers are quick to visit him on any occasion. In winter, for fine dining in this modern, comfortable setting; in summer, to enjoy the terrace and the view over the Loire. Whatever the season, the products are reliable and the execution flawless, in a vein where tradition and modern taste go hand in hand: scallops from Erquy in carpaccio, chioggia beet, Moissac chasselas salicorne and smoked haddock sabayon, hare from Beauce à la royale Carême style and polenta with comté, a fine declension on apple or a Parisian flan in a well-stocked 62 € menu-card. A fine wine cellar covering all the regions, a well-honed and masterful service, and always a lively atmosphere, like the afterworks on Thursday and Friday for tapas-style appetizers.
