Chef's Restaurant The house looks good, set back slightly from the street that leads to the station, behind its high gates. It bears witness to the town's economic history in the XIXᵉ, when the linen industry flourished. Now, Laurent Brault is weaving a new page. This time, it's gastronomic. Designed in the spirit of a warm, chic brasserie, the restaurant lends itself equally well to lunches with friends, business meals and family gatherings. Although the lunch menu is particularly attractive, you should not hesitate to go upmarket. The cuisine respects the fundamental codes of local produce and seasonal dishes. What's more, the technique is sound and the dishes are not lacking in pizzazz. For example, the beautiful scallops presented in carpaccio are enhanced by fresh notes of combawa. However, we were less convinced by the addition of slices of truffle, which lacked character. The sea bass, on the other hand, was well complemented by a beet pressé and a roasted vegetable broth. Bonus: a creamy smoked potato purée. A fine finish is provided by an "apple and passion/chocolate grand cru cigar", based on a particularly successful juxtaposition of contrasting flavors and textures. The staff are young and enthusiastic. As for the cellar, it offers a wide choice at a price that's to be commended: beaune 1er cru from Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, beaujolais from Château de Poncié, faugères from Domaine Ollier-Taillefer, pacherenc from Plaimont, bandol from Domaine de la Bégude... And a well-deserved 2nd toque!
