Gault&Millau's review 2026

Hiring Cyril Boulais as executive chef—a former “Grand de Demain” (back in 2022, at La Marine in Barneville-Carteret)—was undoubtedly an excellent move on the part of the highly media-savvy David Gallienne. His arrival has breathed new life into Le Jardin des Plumes, which—let’s be honest—had previously seemed to be searching in vain for a new direction. And, as if by magic, the dishes have regained their color, energy, and a new vitality that extends right down to the service. An à la carte menu has also been introduced (for lunch only), but the best choice, in our opinion, remains the “Jardin de l’Artiste” menu—a five-course tasting menu for 150 €—which allows you to fully experience this four-handed cuisine: white asparagus, langoustine, and arugula; potato cake, haddock, and watercress—all exquisitely delicate—and a successful pairing of John Dory, cuttlefish, and cauliflower (presented in a masterfully executed trompe-l’œil style)… Top-notch desserts by Victor Prodo, a former chef at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat. A very comprehensive and well-curated wine cellar, though we’d like to see a wider selection available by the glass.
