Marie-Reine and Luc Schmitt have been welcoming guests to their magnificent 2-hectare park since 2013. The Domaine des Chais, a Premier Empire building, delights travelers and regulars who stop off at the hotel, which has been classified Élégance by Logis Hôtels. The 8 rooms (including a suite with sauna) are huge, decorated with period furniture. Breakfast (€14.50) is prepared each morning by Jordane, the couple's son. "We work with local producers," stresses Luc, who concocts tasty dishes with Samuel, his other son. This "bistronomic, instinctive" cuisine invites you to sample duck breast flambéed on the plate, as well as trout from Gensac-la-Pallue. Two menus (€26 and €38) are available, in a chic family atmosphere. The wine list features 60 wines, all from small producers. The Domaine also offers 50 cabaret evenings a year, featuring illusion, circus arts and contortion. These evenings, starting at €35 (excluding dinner), have been the subject of numerous television broadcasts. Discover them for yourself! Hotel reception open 7/7 from 5pm to 9pm.
