Gault&Millau's review2025
On Rue de Rivoli, in one of the world's most beautiful hotels (Le Meurice), this Dalí welcomes guests all day long, for a stopover at the summit, tea time with pastries by Cédric Grolet, or lunch under a canvas by Ara Starck. The beautiful columned room that follows the lobby has been redecorated by Philippe Starck, modernizing the place without distorting the classic French spirit of the house, an ode to national elegance that is not denied by the tourists, who are delighted by the spectacle. The cuisine is French, seasonal and technically impeccable, featuring pine morel mushrooms in a fantastic forestry starter with a competitive sauce, grapes with verjuice and a goat-walnut condiment, a fine fillet of beef cooked just right with a frankly convincing reworking of the tagliatelle potato. Finally, Cédric Grolet's desserts are always magical, such as a generous pistachio paris-brest, reminiscent of a childhood memory. A deliberately limited cellar, with a few great names (Clos des Fées, Clos Rougeard, Carillon d'Angélus...).
