Gourmet Restaurant The superb Galerie Vivienne is home to an address that has been busy for years. Despite a somewhat distant welcome for those unfamiliar with the place, you quickly get into the mood, menu in hand. All the codes of the bistro are there (paper tablecloths, eggshell walls, tiled floors, wooden chairs or red skai benches) and above all the catalog of the genre: herring with apples in oil, poultry liver terrine, pumpkin and chestnut velouté, hard-boiled eggs with herb mayonnaise (with potato option), coq au vin, lamb parmentier (on this day), bourguignon with crushed apples in olive oil, crispy farm chicken with pommes grenailles and ratatouille, all rather well executed, with a taste for the homemade and fairly reasonable prices. You can also come for a coffee, a glass of Chablis, an omelette before noon or a ham and butter. The owner is a bon vivant, the waitress adorable, and everything is just right, right down to the summer terrace on the gallery.
