Gault&Millau's review 2026

The Bibent's privileged location and reputation mean that the place is very busy, especially on evenings when the competition weakens, such as Sundays. It's all about getting organized to find a corner table and enjoy the lively atmosphere. The young waitstaff are hard at work in every direction, and it's clear that they've been briefed to optimize efficiency and performance. On the plate, it's a little less dazzling: the speciality mimosa egg is pleasant, while the sweetbread and poultry fricassee is a little dry due to a slightly overdone finish, but nonetheless tasteful, in a wide-ranging menu with a focus on the South-West, including, of course, cassoulet. We finish with baba, chocolate tart or the "unavoidable millefeuille". The cellar is appropriately large, including by the glass.
