Gault&Millau's review 2025

The name doesn't refer to the horse-and-donkey hybrid you might come across on the region's mule trails, but rather to the actress from "Et Dieu créa la femme", to whom Belgian owner Edward Messiaen wanted to pay homage in this pretty house in the heart of the old quarter. Having worked at the Bastide de Moustiers, he offers a cuisine inspired by the region, but also by his origins, in a pleasant, personal mix: shrimp croquettes, foie gras pasta, rack of lamb with parsley and mustard, gratin dauphinois and simpler desserts, chocolate mousse, rum iced coffee Don Papa speculoos... Wines from the region, a warm welcome and a refined village atmosphere.
