Well placed under the palate, Brunel's former haunt has become an efficient bistro, which doesn't make life difficult for itself, but aims for efficiency with a menu of period dishes complemented by nibbles: tuna tataki with two sesame seeds, foie gras caramelized with port and beet glazed with celery cream, scallop and prawn risotto with chorizo emulsion, magret fermier (duck breast) jus de viande purée topinambour chanterelles crumble et grué... Classic desserts, affordable prices and always a decent regional cellar.
