Managed by Éric Frechon, Lazare is undoubtedly the best station spot in Paris today, thanks to a modern menu that revisits home cooking with flair. Admittedly, travelers arriving from the Normandy countryside are looked down upon a little in this very Parisian space that has also become a practical business meeting place, but this doesn't alter the substance of the plate, the garlic-sautéed calamari or smoked salmon, the puréed sausage, the fish and chips or the pepper sauce onglet. A good semainier (quenelles on Mondays, brandade on Fridays) accompanies the proceedings.
