An attractive revival in this changing district of Lille, and a location well known to the locals. As if to a Delpech tune, Laurette's has all the hallmarks of a neighborhood bistro, with its conviviality, where people talk loudly and the hum of the coffee machine and the sounds of the kitchen cover the music of a Parisian "titi". Having worked in the kitchens of RC Lens, chef Raynald Boucaut has now embarked on a new adventure, offering bistro-style cuisine in a warm, modern setting where local workers and residents have already found their feet. A blackboard that moves from table to table as a menu, a team in the dining room trying not to forget anything, the comings and goings of customers who quickly fill the dining room and the floor, a frenzy that's quite pleasant to watch. The menu consists of a €29 set menu or a choice of dishes from the slate, including classic pâté croute richelieu, creamy burrata with red kiwi, and racy meats such as Angus chuck confit or a fine filet of sea bream. The chef's inspirations, or rather his memories of grandpa's house, such as this stuffed cabbage and its purée in a full-bodied jus, complete the menu and bring in new dishes according to the arrival of seasonal vegetables. The Corsican clementine tartlet of the moment or the homemade tiramisu round off this delightful experience.
