In the heart of old Strasbourg, it's not easy to find a safe, efficient and authentic stopover. This house is often recommended. The welcome is cool ("come back later" when we're right on time), the service correct, the menu logically regional: frogs' legs in parsley sauce, calf's head in crisps with gribiche sauce, liver dumplings with shallot sauce, beef tartare with the house knife, sweetbreads with morel mushroom sauce or, to be really fitting, pike-perch served on a bed of sauerkraut with a rather discreet Riesling sauce. Ordinary desserts, apart from an honest baba monté with old kirsch. A varied wine list, well-equipped for the region, with a wide choice of eaux-de-vie.
