South of Saint-Étienne, this charming*** hotel run by Laurence and Gilles is a good stopover in the heart of the department, where you can enjoy comfortable accommodation and fine local cuisine. The €42 menu is a good option, with duck foie gras marble, snacked scorpion fish fillet, eggplant confit with pine nuts and tomato, basil pesto, slow-cooked roast duck breast, delicate potato fricassee with mousserons and chanterelles, candied garlic cloves... Classic desserts.
