Gault&Millau's review2026
In the middle of the Périgord countryside, perched high up on a hill, the tower of the Moulin de Malfourat overlooks and welcomes you, inviting you to discover the revisited regional cuisine of local chef Damien Fagette. You'll be able to sample local, seasonal produce such as asparagus from the Duret family, duckling in two preparations, duck foie gras, beet and buckwheat tartlet, blackcurrant and blueberry, roast saddle of lamb with artichoke, piquillos and Kalamata olives, pea pulp and broad bean ragout. Finish with a warm Grand Marnier soufflé, blood orange and mandarin sorbet, or spice-poached rhubarb, almond florentine, caramelized brioche and elderflower ice cream. The varied wine list offers a fine selection from different regions.
