The Guggenbuhl family's Taverne is a timeless and indispensable establishment. It has been gentrified over the years, for the greater comfort of the locals, but the precepts remain, those of virtuous bourgeois cuisine applied with respect and an incredible wine list, particularly Alsatian, for its breadth, but also its often very reasonable prices for fine bottles from all over. So expect a driver, or a moderation that's hard to observe, to enjoy all the goodness of the house, with foie gras, sweetbread and mushroom salad, kidneys with mustard, piece of beef and escalope of foie gras...
