Remarkable Restaurant If you're travelling through the Mâconnais region, you'll need to spare a little time to visit this discreet but indispensable restaurant. Stéphane Grospellier is an accomplished professional, one of those stubborn chefs who keep villages and countryside alive by never abandoning their terroir. With his wife Floriane, he has turned this beautiful brick house into a gourmet haven that delights travelers and makes locals proud. Every week, the unique €80 menu draws on the finest seasonal produce, fresh from the market: Arctic char in bellevue, fennel raw and cooked, sour cream with trout roe, fried Breton langoustine, pea jelly, whipped cream with sumac, iced bisque, rack of farm lamb, braised shoulder of lamb, chard and radish, simple juice. Seasonal dessert, Burgundy wine cellar for connoisseurs.
