Gault&Millau's review2026
This is what we call a sure bet. This beautiful stone village house on the edge of the vineyards is one that never disappoints. Sébastien Grospellier and his wife Floriane have turned it into an almost ideal haven for gourmet relaxation, at the southernmost tip of this blessed region. All the charms of the Mâconnais, on the plate and in the glass, guided by a master: langoustines in carpaccio on a fine green asparagus tartlet and Burgundy saffron jus, pan-seared duck foie gras on a stew of celtuce and smoked duck breast, Quintart farm pigeon confit leg, roast fillet on the bone, kohlrabi and radish with rosemary-infused beatillo sauce, just a few of the slices of happiness gleaned from the excellent €85 menu. Expert cellar, with great names from Burgundy, but also a sharp eye for other regions, such as Beaujolais, Rhône and even Alsace.
