Gourmet Restaurant For a quarter of a century now, this little street in the old town of Nice has been home to the restaurant that every Niçois knows and loves. The menu hardly changes from one season to the next, and is based on the recipes of the family's grandmothers, who, with son and grandson at the helm, continue to win praise. With the Cuisine Nissarde label, the meat, fish, vegetables and bread are sourced from the local streets and neighborhoods, guaranteeing freshness and flavor like no other. This is the place to come if you want to understand Niçoise cuisine, from the best sardines stuffed with chard (among other things), to crispy zucchini fritters, or capoun. Take a cooking lesson with the headless larks, thin slices of beef wrapped around a stuffing where garlic and parsley compete with a few good lardons. Homemade ravioli with daube sauce (red wine and porcini mushroom sauce) are already being negotiated over the phone when reservations are taken. And then, as it's good to eat fruit, tarte Tatin, pear clafoutis or chocolate fondant wait patiently in front of us to round off a meal served with the utmost friendliness. A few wines on the slate, obviously from the region. We'll pay around forty euros for a full meal. Issa Nissa!
