Gourmet Restaurant It's an institution in Bourges, one of those tables known to all and usually served on special occasions. Right in the center of town, not far from Saint-Étienne Cathedral, a beautiful period stone building, a cheerful mood, sober decor to suit all occasions, top-notch gourmet cuisine by Stéphane Rétif, and a consistency that ensures loyalty, all combine to explain the success of the house. Once again this year, the menu delivers on its promise, with a runny organic egg, mogette cream and smoked cod tartine, slow-cooked leg of lamb confit au jus, hazelnut crumble and creamy polenta, thick veal chop, tarragon jus and pommes grenaille, paris-brest-style petits choux and hazelnut-glazed quenelle. At the end of January 2025, the Rétif brothers sold their establishment to Jean-Pierre Fournal.
