Gault&Millau's review 2026

A famous brasserie on the edge of the old town and the Cours Mirabeau, with all the codes and success. Well-to-do Aixois like to recognize themselves here, in the beautiful Art Nouveau setting, with its veranda and wide terrace, the professional, well-organized service, the extensive, up-to-date and varied menu, enriched by suggestions on the slate. The cuisine may not quite live up to the bill, but you won't be disappointed if you choose from among your favorite ingredients: David Hervé oysters, Maison Brosset pâté en croûte, pata negra, foie gras, truffle ravioli, Josper meats and regional recipes such as pieds paquets or eggplants à la bonifacienne. Local cellar, including a decent house wine (Château Paradis).
