Gault&Millau's review

Selected At Mario Bondici's, the Piedmont accent sings from the moment you step into this neighborhood piola: simple, popular and unpretentious. You'll find yourself in a warm, informal dining room, packed with regulars looking for a little dolce vita on the corner of rue Tolbiac. The cuisine, which is not particularly sophisticated, relies on quality ingredients. Gnocchi, ravioli, rigatoni, linguine and pappardelle are available in a variety of sauces. Complemented by a fine selection of pizzas prepared with well-executed dough made from Caputo flour from the renowned Neapolitan mill, the menu remains interesting. The whole experience is supported by a lively, smiling service, imbued with that Italian kindness we're not inventing. The only regret is that the wine and beverage list lacks sparkle and could do with a little more attention.
