Gault&Millau's review2026
Christelle and Cédric Deckert's magnificent half-timbered house is a timeless place in the heart of the Alsatian countryside, a moment of grace and authenticity, built up year after year and now one of the most sought-after addresses in the area. It's the delicacy of the decor, right down to the plate, expressing a typical yet personal art of living. Tradition serves as an alibi for the creation of fine local recipes, such as sauerkraut revisited as a tartlet, smoked trout and Kristal caviar, piglet jus with hay, sweetbreads browned in curry, smoked eel, Thai lemongrass infusion, a rack of piglet with hay and prairie flowers, reduced jus and pea and savory tartlet, a remarkable warm Costa Rica 71% chocolate tartlet, shaved tonka bean, goat's milk and Tahitian vanilla ice cream. A very fine, classic cellar.
