Chef's Restaurant Timeless, indefatigable, indestructible Merenda, a Niçois monument to the glory of the "Nissarde" cuisine whose integrity and originality chef Le Stanc has been defending for ages. Still no telephone or credit card (you can't change it now, it would look like a betrayal), but the joy of finding on the slate what brought you here: stuffed sardines, daube, tripe de veau à la niçoise, lentils with perugino sauce. You realize how lucky you are to be sitting there, never really daring to pout for fear that someone will start their sentence with "if you're not happy...". Yes, yes, we're very happy to be able to enjoy it once again.
