Gault&Millau's review2026
Facing the Cher River on its left bank, La Maison Tourangelle does much more than honor the heritage of its region: it's now part of it. Established in 2004, with the tufa stone as a backdrop, Frédéric and Maria Arnault's inn has won over a loyal clientele from the Loire Valley. The award-winning chef makes a point of working with rigorously selected seasonal produce. Of particular note is the tender veal mignon, accompanied by spiced carrots and other root vegetables, enhanced by a delicious jus réduit. For dessert, a well-balanced lemon tart that could do with a little more strength. A well-stocked wine list, with some fine Loire references.
