Gault&Millau's review 2025

The reopening of the Château de Locguénolé is good news for the whole region. Although the logistics are not yet quite perfected (signage, signposting, reception...), the desire to do things right is obvious. The catering is proceeding cautiously, with a few evening services to get the gastro and bistro brasserie up to speed. The menu is straightforward, simple and not too expensive: leeks with vinaigrette and shellfish, monkfish curry properly prepared, and a good chocolate soufflé tart. Service takes a few mines (this is a château) but is kind and attentive, and the choice of wines by the glass is sufficiently varied.
