Remarkable Restaurant Mathias Dandine and his wife's beautiful Provencal bastide is a secret haven for visitors from Marseilles, Toulon, Aix-en-Provence and much further afield. The sense of welcome, the sunny smile, the charm of a respectful and refined décor all contribute to a well-orchestrated feast orchestrated by Mathias' faithful chef, Alexandre Léard, who follows the boss's ideas to the letter: shrimp stuffed with melon and tagetes, declension of carrots, press juice, mackerel from a small boat a la flamme, beet au naturel, figs and kasha, duck Burgaud roasted with spices, figs confit and red berries, finishing, on the same very good seasonal fig theme, with a croustade with a parfait glacé with wild fennel and blackberry crystalline. Menus range from €75 to €85 for lunch, and from €135 to €175 (four to six courses) for dinner. Extensive regional wine cellar, with grands crus for discerning connoisseurs.
