It may not be the liveliest or trendiest restaurant on the Left Bank, but this Laiterie, located on the chic Rue de Bellechasse, boasts remarkable consistency, supported by a menu that, while failing to take risks, attracts a clientele of connoisseurs: good foie gras with red wine onion jam, academic farmhouse poultry supreme with its pretty truffle jus, reassuring chocolate cake with its small pot of custard. The cheeses come from Quatrehomme, the cellar is quite short and admits a predilection for Burgundy.
