Jean-Baptiste Girard and Maïko have been running a wonderful bistronomic restaurant in the Nièvre countryside, between Nevers and Autun, for about ten years now. It’s a hidden gem—a delightful one at that—where you can enjoy the chef’s culinary talents in savory dishes and Maïko’s expertise in pastry. The restaurant embraces a strong commitment to local and seasonal ingredients. This results in two well-crafted menus priced at €40 and €75, where you can discover visually stunning dishes such as crispy pike with garden sorrel sauce, grilled and glazed Loire Valley asparagus, tansy hollandaise sauce, braised farm-raised pork belly with winter vegetables, a caramelized apple tatin, and Morvan hay ice cream. Very friendly service. A small but well-curated wine list.
