It's been 15 years since Mireille Noesser took over this renovated farmhouse, with its exposed beams and stonework, in a small village in the heart of historic Alsace. A peaceful place to stop and enjoy the Alsatian specialities for which the region is famous. In the kitchen, Chef Mickael Schmitt prepares meticulously-crafted dishes using fresh local produce, assisted by Laurent Kessler, who flambées the tarts over a wood fire in keeping with the tradition of the Confrérie de la véritable tarte flambée, to which the establishment belongs. The à la carte menu is complemented by à la carte suggestions that change every weekend. Highlights include onglet, cordon bleu with munster cheese and Black Forest ham, galettes de pommes de terre with salmon or munster cheese, salade gourmande with our homemade foie gras, and, to round things off on a high note, crème brûlée and café gourmand. The perfect conclusion to a meal with a taste of Alsace.
