Gault&Millau's review 2026
Gourmet Restaurant
In four years, Nicolas Peau and Mathieu Boucq, both from the Nord region, have turned this historic home into the place everyone wants to visit. While the view of the Gulf of Morbihan is one reason, the tasteful decor is another, as is the friendly and cheerful service from the dining room staff, who showcase the creations of young chef Quentin Rigollet, who spent much of his career at his family’s charcuterie in Versailles, Les Délices du Palais. Despite the crowds, a certain tranquility reigns here, allowing everyone to fully appreciate Quentin’s cuisine. Rigollet draws on local, mostly organic ingredients to create beautifully presented and colorful dishes, such as this deconstructed vitello tonnato, this generous vegetarian plate featuring burrata, hummus, zucchini, pesto, and Parmesan shavings, or that devilishly addictive dessert—a raspberry cream, cocoa streusel, fresh raspberries, and Tonka bean. The wine cellar features a focus on organic and biodynamic wines, showcasing a variety of young producers (Château de Plaisance white from Anjou, white Beaujolais from Piron, and red Santenay from Antoine Olivier).
