Description

Probably the best egg rolls in the world: that's the invitation extended by Thanh-Tu, who in 2010 took over the chic, elegant restaurant her parents had set up in 1988 near the Maison Carrée and the arena. Tablecloth-covered tables, stemmed glasses, colorful crockery and... travel photos (a nod to his first professional life) adorn the walls. The chef learned to cook from his mother, aunts and cousins, passing on three generations of family recipes that he revisits and refines over time. The #Nem Denim (registered trademark), whose recipe remains a secret, has made the reputation of the house. Other specialties include rice with garlic, shrimp or Halong Bay, shrimp with crispy noodles, beef satay on a griddle with caramelized sauce... accompanied by a rare local wine. Thanh-Tu has also created homemade cocktails and, with his mom, marvellous atypical desserts such as Panna cotta della mamma with mango or nem gourmand. At his place, everything is refinement, from the atmosphere to the dishes you can enjoy on the terrace.
