What a pleasure it is for those who like to eat well, that in the middle of the countryside between Saumur and Cholet, a young chef has the audacity and desire to delight us with fresh, affordable cuisine. His €20 lunchtime menu makes our mouths water with a medallion of smoked salmon, crunchy vegetables, spider veal rosé, roasted pumpkin, crispy potato galette on garlic cream; the portions are generous, the service smiling, and the desserts in the same spirit, around unctuous dark chocolate quenelles; in the evenings and at weekends, menus expand to include escargot puff pastry with mushrooms or duck breast roasted in honey, and always at a fair price, with menus at €32.5 and €44. A table to be encouraged with a toque amply deserved, for a chef who contributes to maintaining quality catering, as far away from our territories as possible.
