Gault&Millau's review2026
Although Alexis Pouly, the creator of Le Danton, has handed over the reins of the kitchen to Benjamin Besse, he now enjoys running his Escapade next door, sharing a cellar between the two establishments. And the chef always has a good hand, both in selecting (an excellent fillet of Charolais the other day, with the vegetables of the moment and the first crisp asparagus) and preparing the perfect egg with chorizo cream, a rib of pork cooked for 50 hours, a tartare with home fries, a sirloin steak with red wine sauce. We finish with an honest vanilla crème brûlée or a chocolate fondant. Lunch menu at €27, with possible supplements, interesting cellar with current ideas by the glass (a coteaux du lyonnais, a saint-pourçain, a fronton...), relaxed atmosphere of loyal regulars.
