Original Restaurant Issa Nissa! Right in the heart of Vieux-Nice, on the lively Rue Pairolière, "Les Petits Escaliers" has gone up a step with a well-deserved chef's hat to honor Nicoise cuisine in its purest expression. Awarded the precious "cuisine nissarde" label (only fifteen or so in Nice), l'Escalinada delights with its must-try dishes: bagna cauda, zucchini fritters, stockfish, old-fashioned daube with homemade gnocchi, stuffed sardines... Italy is not far away, and the wood-fired pizza oven is there to remind us. Don't forget to finish with the chard pie, and during the summer, sit out on the terrace and watch the people go by. The service is cheerful and the cellar more than adequate. Aqui si manja ben!
