Remarkable Restaurant Why seek out faraway pleasures? French cuisine, bourgeois and well-crafted, offers pleasures that have become all too rare. That's why the K2, with Jean-Alain Baccon and chef Guillaume Duchemin, has created this restaurant, high altitude in price but accessible and even voluptuous in taste. You'll have to climb to 1850 m, in the refined style of K2, to find a steak au poivre as they don't make them any more, a sole au plat, a pâté croûte, an onion tatin, a traditional vol-au-vent, sweetbreads, crayfish, poultry, mushrooms, truffle sauce poulette au vin jaune, a very good foie gras truffe and other fine creations... When it's time for dessert, Sébastien Vauxion and his team take over to keep their heads at the top (mont blanc crème de marron et châtaigne confit de cassis et chantilly), the service is remarkably kind and natural, and the cellar offers every size, right up to the Pétrus collection.
