Chef's Restaurant After studying at the Ecole Hôtelière in Nice, Guillaume Winterstein honed his skills with some of the great names in southern French cuisine: Alain Llorca for 7 years, Christian Morisset at Le Figuier Saint-Esprit for 3 years... Then came the desire for a challenge, to surpass himself, to open his own place. L'Agapè was born last November under the best of auspices. The chef takes us into his world in front of the sea, on the beach promenade at Cros de Cagnes. Backed by his partner, Morgane David, whose presence alone makes the dining room luminous, the duo makes the moment at table precious. While Guillaume, like a true disciple of Escoffier, combines the finest products, such as poultry ravioli from Pierlas with local zucchini in a dashi broth, wild pollack cooked a la plancha, still pearly in its flesh, on a surprising bed of cherry tomatoes and Carros strawberries, or confit shoulder of suckling lamb from Sisteron with a navarin of early vegetables, Morgane is busier from table to table, making the experience even more beautiful. The first menu, "Déjeuner à l'ombre du Mûrier" (Lunch in the shade of the Mulberry tree) with three stops at €35, is to be taken seriously; the other two menus, "Découverte" and "l'Épicurien", offer a journey of all the senses for €45 and €69. Accompanied by well-chosen wines.
