Gault&Millau's review2026
No longer so youthful, this wine bistro is well on the way to its fortieth anniversary. Founded in 1987 by Tim Johnston, a Scotsman, and now run by his daughter Margaux and Romain Roudeau in the kitchen, the cuisine has been refined and modernized over the years, while the wine cellar remains as exciting as ever (with an attractive selection by the glass that changes with the seasons). Space is at a premium, and the boxes of wine piling up in one corner are no surprise to a cosmopolitan clientele of all generations, while the plates are full of camaraderie: haddock croquettes and caramelized endives, entrecôte (for two) with excellent mashed potatoes, vanilla rice pudding and perfectly regressive salted caramel.
