Gault&Millau's review 2026

It's the model of the village café in the guise of a well-renovated family hotel. It's as warm as a PMU bar, bringing the town together on the oilcloth tablecloths. Day laborers chat at the bar with the owner, Sébastien Gaches, between two preparations of his "black flambadou", the house's star burger. But the main attraction is the atmosphere created by home-style service, the slightly dry snail lasagne, the good lamb sweetbreads with potato cassolette, the simple and modest fromage blanc tart with blackberry jam. No one bothers you with superfluous constraints, the wine is by the jug or by the bottle in a friendly regional cellar, and this good moment of free France is precious.
