If the Eckmühl lighthouse has been a landmark since the late XIXᵉ for all sailors cruising offshore, Klervi Tanniou and Corentin Ogor's little white house at its foot has rapidly become a veritable gourmet haunt. Admittedly, it's not Versailles, but the bright dining room is furnished with elegant simplicity. Corentin's cuisine is fluid and playful, inspired mainly by the sea and the garden. For example, the superb scallops from the Brest harbor are enhanced by a vegetable accompaniment of broccoli and broccolini in different textures, topped with a smoky butter. Time for a short trip outside Brittany to indulge in a morel stuffed with Savagnin-infused brown mushrooms and lively seasoned lentils, then back to port where the st pierre awaits. Accompanied by tuberous parsley (in fine mousseline and potato chips) and radishes, it is presented in ballotine (a very light herb stuffing) and also goes very well with a very subtle verbena-infused "écume". As for dessert, its freshness and tonicity make it a welcome addition to the menu. And all these dishes are served on attractive plates. While the wine list is not exhaustive, it does offer a coherent, high-quality choice at affordable prices. The systematic mention of vintages would be a plus... Efficient and friendly service.
