A few kilometers north of Lyon in Chasselay, not far from the A6 freeway, Guy Lassausaie's restaurant is a practical and gourmet stopover. The vast parking lot welcomes all those exiled from the city center, who can enjoy their meal without fear of the PV sulphate gun. The well-kept and spacious restaurant is the ideal place to discover the cuisine of a renowned chef. Here, menus and menus are displayed. No lizards, everything is clear and the prices of the bottles are very competitive. As for the menu, there's plenty to choose from: the famous lobster salad, mushrooms of the moment and artichokes. We love the ginger-scented vegetable broth. Or the caviar-flavored soft-boiled egg, accompanied by a few sparkling pickled carrots. Or why not try these angel-hair langoustines accompanied by a tomato and pineapple chutney with a hint of saffron. As for the meats and fish, the chef is very particular about how they are cooked: saint pierre cooked in zucchini flower and rack of lamb roasted on the bone are excellent standards, before French toast-style almond brioche, apricot in all its forms refreshed with verbena, vanilla sablé, raspberries au naturel, with a coconut sphere, and chocolate mousse with praline crunch. The service is attentive and square, and the maitre d'hôtel enlivens the room with brio. The main selling point is the value for money, certainly one of the best in Greater Lyon, as fantasy and uncertainty are not part of the program.
