Gault&Millau Academy's member Almost a century ago, mother Blanc was named by Curnonsky the "best cook in the world". Forty-four years ago, Georges Blanc, her grandson, was named Gault&Millau Chef of the Year. Since then, the "village Blanc" has continued to be a beacon of development, Georges Blanc reigns over Bresse and everyone, from anonymous customers to discerning observers of national gastronomy, can thank him. On the menu, Point Blanc is as attractive as ever, and you can't wait to stop in. The dean of our Gault&Millau academics is a prodigious host. The dining room is vast and the menu large, much more salivating than a QR code. You'll find Bresse, a chef's cuisine, great flights of fancy, nobility, but above all, you'll find what you love. This dimension of culinary pleasure is at the heart of the event, whether it's a wedding anniversary or a stopover on the road to vacation. With unchanging classics (crêpe vonnassienne, poularde de Bresse) as well as the new dishes of the year, proving that the cuisine is always lively and that the chef's brigade is in perfect harmony: with tourteau en gelée de crustacés et safran de Bresse, nacré saint-pierre au ponzu, framboise et sabayon mentholé, veal, with its sweetbread, au caviar osciètre and the great desserts of the moment. The entertainment in the dining room is one of the brightest and most invigorating in the country, and the cellar is full of resources, from the fine mâcons of Georges Blanc himself to the great vintages of Burgundy.
