Chef's Restaurant No, Epiro is not an Italian restaurant, but rather an Italian friend personified by the charismatic Marco Mattana, who welcomes you to his home in the port of Nice and offers you his Italy on the plate, the Italy of the nonna and simple dishes made from the heart. Fish guazzetto, a Tuscan soup with a Mediterranean flavour, gnocchi with guanciale and artichoke, homemade mafaldines, the large ribbons that allow the Bolognese-style "ragù" sauce to take hold, sprinkled with 30-month Parmesan... A tasting menu at €42 explores, among other things, meat with beef tartare or beef cheek with red wine. Natural wines, whether from France or Italy, and why not a cider, will only enhance this beautiful moment of conviviality...
