A visit to Daniel et Denise's is the promise of a truly Lyonnais experience, where local standards reach a true level of excellence. MOF Joseph Viola reigns supreme over the city with his three addresses, including this one, a stone's throw from the Halles Bocuse. The chef succeeds in both art and manner, with an old-fashioned setting designed to take you on a journey into tradition, and plates of fine demonstration: the 2009 world champion pâté croûte, three Lyonnais salads, calf's head with ravigote sauce, omelette du curé with crayfish tails, whole roasted veal kidney in a grandmother-style casserole, neck of pork with tarragon... A fine seasonal menu at €45.
