Gault&Millau's review 2026

The two cooks, Anthony Barrucand and Jean-Sébastien Faber, are as talented and cheerful as ever, delighting the well-informed gourmets who know what to look for in this discreet house at the entrance to the village. The foie gras soup is always there, and always pleasing, as is the seared bonito back, marinated in soy and sesame with a beet purée and crunchy red cabbage and sesame kimchi, as well as the Arctic char with a creamy chignin sauce or the pork, cut from the loin, parsley root purée, roasted ratte apple and full-bodied liquorice-scented jus. Desserts slightly below par, but two fine toques easily retained, also by the cellar, remarkable for its choice, its knowledge of the local vineyards and its prices. Dynamic, smiling service, which manages the forty or so covers as well as possible, despite a few minor errors.
