While the city center has partly forgotten its Corsican roots to sell pizzas and burgers, Ajaccians remain faithful to timeless values, like this good seafood restaurant on the Route des Sanguinaires. This is where you'll find locally caught fish (€10 per 100g for sar, capon, corb, denti..., please ask for the exact weight when ordering) and lobster or crayfish pasta for festive meals overlooking the sea, after fish soup, mussels marinière or zucchini fritters. The owners show their efficiency and commercial sense with a motivated team, regulars are pampered, the room is full, and you have to book well in advance for a well-placed table. A well-stocked cellar of Corsican wines.
