Gault&Millau's review 2026

The restaurant is undoubtedly one of the city’s most remarkable spots, located in a renovated building on the Aître Saint-Maclou or on the terrace overlooking the beautiful inner courtyard, set back from the bustling and very pretty Rue Martainville. Gilles Tournadre and his teams create sophisticated local cuisine here, rooted in tradition and featuring high-quality ingredients: gravlax made from trout, mackerel rillettes, and smoked salmon served together in the “Cale du drakkar,” homemade duck terrine, an Italian-style burger, a croque-monsieur, and salmon with sorrel as the daily special. Everything is executed with care, right down to the pastries in the shop on the street, which serves as an extension of the restaurant. The wine cellar is well-stocked with fine Sancerre wines from the chef’s in-laws, and the young, dynamic, and dedicated staff provides excellent service.
