Gault&Millau's review2025
Last year, during the GM Tour, we rightly rewarded the work of Patrick Quard and his team in bringing people together, both in terms of welcome and service. On the boulevard, this Café de l'Ardèche brings together good eaters and regulars who find here the essentials of the "brasserie-restaurant" type. Simplicity, but also cuisine, with a €33 lunch menu that goes far beyond steak frites: sweet potato in three textures, creamy tonka, roasted with sage and chips, medallion of saithe at low temperature, creamy risotto with saffron juice, ballottine of capon stuffed with mushrooms, creamy peas with thyme juice, mandarin glazed parfait, a sequence that adds to a wide-ranging menu with remarkable products. A broad and deep Rhone cellar for amateurs and connoisseurs alike.
