Gault&Millau's review 2025

Pro-Bocusian in its grandest dimensions, the largest and busiest of the group's brasseries. On the banks of the Saône, easy to reach and far from the city center, the 500 covers per day are regularly exceeded, with a quality of service that commands respect. Of course, purists may think that a slightly more elaborate plate would be even better, but it's quite a feat to maintain 1 toque with such an extensive and well-maintained menu for this huge clientele, who want everything right and immediately. A good little nibble to start with, a respectable pâté en croûte, a slightly dry poultry ballottine with confit thighs as garnish, a creamy sauce and a lovely braised cabbage, before a schoolboy crème brûlée. An appropriate wine list, not designed for discovery but to reassure you by doing yourself good.
