Chef's Restaurant It's not much easier to find a place at La Coulemelle than at the gastro des hauteurs. But the Marcon family's inn is no exception. In what was once the family inn's historic stronghold, welcome, service and food combine to create the most charming of Auvergne mountain stops: With the unbeatable €39 menu, which includes Richelieu-style pâté en croûte, pressed skate fregola sarda or braised lamb shoulder with tomato confit and basil, roasted leg of lamb, eggplant caviar and freekeh risotto, before fromage blanc or blueberry soufflé. A fine regional and general wine list.
