Gourmet Restaurant At the very top of the town, at the foot of the châteaux, Justine Defrasne and Tariq Ali's restaurant invites you to take a trip in a wooded decor, on a herringbone parquet floor or on the terrace in fine weather. From their sojourns on the other side of the world, they have brought back an informal style of dining. This is the realm of tapas, created by the chef using fusion recipes inspired by his stays in Sicily, New York, San Francisco and Beijing. Herbs, condiments and spices intermingle on this explorer chef's menu. Grilled artichoke bottoms are combined with Pugliese burrata, Egyptian dukkah and green chermoula: a very fresh appetizer with an incredible wealth of flavors. Melt-in-the-mouth Alsatian chicken meat on a skewer is our favorite, with the umami flavor of the yakitori sauce, the fun peanuts and the freshness of the ponzu sauce. To top it all off, one of the best Basque cheesecakes, revisited with apple caramel. A place to try for its skilful blend of cultures and exotic flavours. All of this is washed down with quality Alsatian or Sicilian wines. While many of the dishes merrily reach the two-toque mark, we regret that on the evening of our visit our pleasure was somewhat dampened by the temperature in the dining room, as if we'd forgotten to turn on the heating.
